Your Hotel in the Heart of Chamonix

PARK HÔTEL SUISSE & SPA, 4-Star Hotel in Chamonix

Ideally located in the heart of Chamonix, the Park Hôtel Suisse & Spa lets you enjoy the lively town center and its shops, just steps from Chamonix’s main attractions. Bus stops serving the valley villages and ski areas are less than 100 meters from the hotel.

All our rooms offer views of the Mont Blanc massif or the Brévent. We have four room categories: Standard Rooms, Superior Rooms, Comfort Rooms, and two Suites. Family rooms are also available.

Discover the Story Behind Our Hotel...

The first part of the hotel was built in the 1930s, on the Holland and Switzerland (Mont-Blanc) side. At that time, the hotel was managed by Berthe, the wife of Pépé Luc, who was a mountain guide and only came to help with wine supplies and breakfasts. Legend has it he would even bring along a lamb and bottle-feed it during breakfast!

In the 1960s, after his mother’s passing, Jeannot Tournier took over the hotel, as well as the restaurant La Calèche and the popular nightclub “Toboggan,” a hotspot in the 1960s and ’70s. Managed by his wife Nicole, the panoramic rooftop pool was created, along with an extension on the side facing the Tourist Office. The rooftop terrace served as an ice rink in winter and a terrace in summer.

Jeannot Tournier became an iconic figure in Chamonix, pioneering ski scooter riding and being the first to perform “clowning” on skis. He mastered his craft so well that he became a professional ski performer on stilts! His talent caught the attention of Walt Disney, with whom he spent two years in the United States filming and meeting famous actors, including the legendary Sean Connery (see INA video: Pépé Luc, “The Snow Acrobat”).
